CAKE SERVER
A cake or pie server is a flat triangular-headed utensil used to cut and serve slices of cake or pie. Its shape mirrors the wedge shape of the piece of pie or cake cut from a whole, which means the section will be served intact and neat. The cake server itself is able to cut through softer desserts and savory quiches by using its edge, but sometimes a knife is also employed to cleanly cut each slice; in those cases, the server is used only for transferring each piece to an individual plate.
